About Cyd Taylor
After fourteen years running a residential design-renovation business in New York City, I realized that what mattered most to me was the relationships I built through it: understanding clients’ stories, navigating challenges together, and creating spaces where they felt seen and supported. That realization led me to become a therapist.
Alongside my career in construction, I studied and taught mindfulness, yoga, and other somatic practices. I later earned my Master of Social Work from Roberts Wesleyan University, integrating these perspectives into my therapy work. Before that, I earned a Master of Fine Arts, focusing on sculpture and art theory, from the Maryland Institute College of Art. I remain active in my community, facilitating art therapy courses in supportive housing through the Fort Greene Council and serving as an advisor to mentors working with gender-expansive youth at Girls Write Now in Manhattan.
As a licensed social worker and mental health counselor, I have worked with people navigating the carceral system, inpatient and residential treatment, and private practice. I am licensed to practice social work in New York State and provide psychotherapy under the clinical supervision of Chris Panzica, LCSW. It is an honor to do this work, and I am grateful to walk alongside people as they move toward greater understanding, connection, and change.
