Clinical Interests
Cyd is seeking post-graduate clinical environments that support strong supervision toward licensure, reflective practice, and ongoing clinical development. She is particularly interested in settings that value non-manualized psychodynamic and relational approaches and that allow for depth, continuity, and thoughtful engagement with clinical process over time. Her primary interest is working with young adults and adults, and she is also interested in receiving training to work with children as part of a well-supported learning environment.
She is drawn to training environments that support the social-work lens—where external conditions and systemic realities are held alongside internal experience. Her perspective is shaped by the belief that when individuals face environmental or structural constraints, one meaningful site of change lies in how they relate to their internal states. Supporting people in developing skills for awareness, regulation, and responsiveness can expand their capacity for engagement and choice, even when circumstances remain difficult.
Somatic Integration
Cyd is interested in finding clinical or community-based settings that support the integration of somatic approaches, including mindfulness practices and other mood and nervous system regulation skills, alongside relational clinical work.
Future Training
She is also seeking continued mentorship in group facilitation and values learning from experienced clinicians. Over time, she plans to pursue formal training in Somatic Experiencing to deepen her clinical and practical understanding of embodied approaches within a psychodynamically informed social work framework.
